Brampton double shooting victims identified as men from Bolton and Whitby

Two victims shot dead in Brampton on the weekend have been identified as a pair of men from Bolton and Whitby.

Around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday (June 19), police were called to the area of Gateway Blvd. near Queen St. East. for reports of gunshots.

Police say they found two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds when officers arrived and one person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was rushed to hospital where he died from his injuries.

The victims have now been identified as Kenroy Andre Benjamin, a 28-year-old from Bolton, and Sheldon Taylor, a 40-year-old from Whitby, police say.

Police were unable to share any information on potential suspects, but say the shooting deaths are believed to be an isolated incident.
