Victim threatened with screwdriver during carjacking in Brampton

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a vehicle in Brampton this afternoon (June 6).
The incident was reported at 12:02 p.m. in the area of Advance Blvd and Steeles Ave E.
Police say the suspect threatened the victim with a screwdriver before taking off with the victim’s vehicle, a grey Hyundai Sonata (licence plate number CJXF708).
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a South Asian male, between 32-35 years old, with a medium build and wearing a black hoodie.
The investigation is ongoing.
