The judge in the trial involving Brady Robertson, a Caledon man who was involved in a car crash in Brampton that resulted in the death of a mother and her three children, will be hearing victim impact statements this week ahead of sentencing.

In June 2020, Robertson was involved in a car crash that resulted in the death of 37-year-old Karolina Ciasullo and her three daughters six-year-old Klara, three-year-old Lilanna, and one-year-old Mila.

In November, Robertson plead guilty to four counts of dangerous driving causing the deaths, and Justice Sandra Caponecchia found him guilty on four counts of impaired operation causing death.

However, Robertson’s lawyer is filing a constitutional challenge against the impaired operation conviction.

This week, friends and family members of the deceased will share their impact statements with the judge, who will determine Robertson’s sentence.
