Vehicles impounded for pair of alleged speed demons in Brampton

Police have taken pair of drivers off the road in Brampton for going some 60 km/h over the limit in an 80 km zone.
Peel Regional Police say officers working speed enforcement in Brampton on Wednesday night (March 15) on Queen St. in Brampton when they witnessed two motorists driving at “completely unacceptable” speeds in an 80 km per hour zone.
Police say one of the drivers was clocked going 140 km per hour and a second was stopped going 137 km per hour.
Both drivers had their licences suspended and the vehicles were impounded, a police spokesperson said. No additional details about the drives were provided by police.
Police are reminding motorists to follow the rules of the road to help keep streets safe.
