Vehicle hits pole and flips over on Mississauga Rd. near the QEW

Peel Regional Police are on the scene after a vehicle struck a pole and flipped over this morning on Mississauga Rd. near the QEW.
There’s no word yet on injuries suffered by the driver or any other people who may have been in the car when it hit the pole near Indian Rd. just after 10 a.m.
Ambulance and other first responders were on the scene as well.
Police say more information will follow as they investigate.
Update: Two men were in the car that struck the pole. Neither were injured in the incident.

Police say the driver of the car has been taken into custody to be charged with an impaired driving-related offence.
The car has been towed from the scene, according to police, who add the area should be open to traffic once again.
