Global Vegetarian Foods Corp. is recalling certain Happy Veggie World, Hearts Choices, and Vegefarm brand vegan and vegetarian products from the marketplace because they may contain egg.

A recall has been issued for certain vegan and vegetarian products sold by Global Vegetarian Foods under multiple brand names because they may contain egg not listed on the label.

The company says the items sold under the Happy Veggie World, Hearts Choices, and Vegefarm brand were distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. They may also have been sold in other provinces and territories.

A full list of affected products is available on the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) website. The CFIA says people with an egg allergy should not consume the recalled items.

There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products, the CFIA said, but residents are urged to check their homes for the products and either throw them away or return them to the store where they were purchased.
