Members of the Mississauga community have noticed renovations taking place at an address in Port Credit.

The building at 89 Lakeshore Rd. East has been undergoing some cosmetic changes to transform the space into Community Restaurant’s second location.

The vegan restaurant quietly celebrated their official opening last weekend.

A post on their social pages says “IYKYK, shhhh…the word is spreading! A new community in Port Credit… we are so grateful and thankful for the overwhelming support we have received throughout the last 3.5 years in Oakville, and we wanted to spread the love to Mississauga. Hope you can join us!”

The vegan restaurant promotes a positive atmosphere that pairs well with its diverse menu.

Several different dishes are available such as spicy buffalo cauliflower wings, butter tofu, truffle and wild mushroom risotto and multiple pizza varieties.

Their plant-based, made from scratch brunch menu is only available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The restaurant has categories on their menu such as small plate, salads and bowls, large plate, keto friendly, pizzas, as well as many sharable dessert options.

Community Restaurant opened their first location in Oakville in 2019.

“We are here to inspire, educate, and promote a plant-based lifestyle through a beautiful environment and deliciousness on every plate,” Community said on their webpage.
