Halton Regional Police believe they have strong leads in trying to track down the person responsible for damaging two vehicles at a Burlington train station last week.

The incident took place sometime between late April 19 and early April 20 when a person kicked in the passenger side doors of two vehicles owned by Metrolinx, the operators of the transit line.

The targeted vehicles were a Ford Tauraus and Ford Explorer parked in the Burlington GO Station on Fairview St.

The vehicles received extensive damage valued at $5,000

However, while examining video surveillance of the scene the person causing the damage was recognized by a Metrolinx worker and the information was handed over to police.

Police are continuing their investigation but an arrest has not yet been made.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4747 or Crime Stoppers at www.haltoncrimestoppers.ca.
