Vancouver and Calgary men charged with murder for double stabbing in Mississauga

Three men from out west have been charged with murder in the stabbing death one month ago outside a Mississauga banquet hall.

Two people were stabbed at the Grand Banquet and Event Centre on Brunel Rd shortly before 2:24 a.m. By the time police arrived one of the victims had succumbed to his injuries. The other was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Little over a week later, on July 13, police released images of seven men they were trying to identify as persons of interest.

Investigator confirmed on August 4, they had arrested three people in the attack. Amandeep Grewal, 28 of Vancouver, Anexhelin Cuka, 23, and  Vivio Cuka of Calgary were all charged with first degree murder. Vivio Cuka has additionally been charged with aggravated assault.

All three men remained in custody until a bail hearing at the Brampton courthouse.
