Police have taken a Brampton driver off the road after a roll-over crash on Valentine’s Day.

Around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 14), the Ontario Provincial Poice says officers from the Caledon detachment were called to a stretch of Old School Rd near Hwy 10 in Caledon for reports of a crash.

When officers arrived on the scene they found a vehicle had flipped over onto its roof, police said.

Police say the driver was impaired by alcohol and a 47-year-old from Brampton was arrested.

Devinder Dhillon, 47, of Brampton has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand

Police say the accused driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle will be impounded for a week.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on March 2. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
