Uxbridge resident wins $50,000 on OLG’s Daily Keno

Joaquim Cavaca of Uxbridge sure knows how to pick ‘em, with his DAILY KENO 7 Pick resulting in a $50,000 win in the December 27 MIDDAY draw. He also won $2 on his ENCORE selection, bringing his total winnings to $50,002.
Cavaca said when he checked his ticket at the store he was so excited he had to check it twice. “I was calm because the smaller wins I’ve had in the past prepared me for this,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “When I showed my girlfriend, she thought she was going to have a heart attack – I had to tell her to take it easy.”
The retired father and grandfather plans to purchase a vehicle with his win. “Anything left over will be invested.”
