Uxbridge crash leaves driver with life-threatening injuries

A man was seriously wounded in a single-car crash up in Uxbridge last night.

The driver of a Dodge Journey was heading South along Brock Rd around 7:55 May 10. The car made it south of Webb Rd, but left the roadway.

Durham Regional Police did not specify any circumstances of how the car crashed.

Police responded shortly thereafter and found the driver suffering life-threatening injuries. An Ornge air ambulance helicopter took the man to a Toronto hospital for treatment.

Officers with the Collision Investigation Unit locked down Brock Rd between Pickering Townline Rd and Webb Rd for several hours to investigate. DRPS announced they had re-opened the road around 5:30 the next morning.
