Uxbridge-area man faces attempted murder charges after Aurora stabbing

A man from Uxbridge Township faces attempted murder charges after a stabbing in the Town of Aurora on Sunday left two injured.

York Regional Police responded to the Yonge St and Spruce St of the town, which sits North of Richmond Hill, shortly after midnight May 1.

On arrival officers found a man suffering  a serious stab wound and another suffering a minor wound. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.

In the course of their investigation, police identified a man they believe was involved.

Howard Scott, 33 of Zephyr, faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.

Police are calling on any witnesses in the area at the time to come forward. They are also after any video recordings of the area.
