Uttering threats, flight from police leads to charges after incident at Pickering plaza

A 28 year-old man is facing some serious charges after allegedly uttering threats while armed with a knife at a Pickering plaza Sunday evening.

Durham Police West Division officers were called to the plaza about 6 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man uttering threats. The suspect had already left but police were able to track him down and after a short pursuit arrested the man without incident.

The man is, who was not identified by police, is charged with uttering threats, possession of a dangerous weapon, flight from police and dangerous driving.
