UPDATE: Vehicle fire in Mississauga prompts police to ask drivers to alter routes

The public was asked to avoid an area of Mississauga after was fully engulfed in flames.
At 7:18 p.m. on Wednesday (June 23), Peel Regional Police were informed that a car had caught on fire in the area of Dundas Street West and Old Carriage Road in Mississauga. All of the occupants were able to flee the car without apparent physical injuries.
Since Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services are tending to the blaze, the police asked the public to steer clear of the affected area until clean-up is completed.

UPDATE: All affected roads were reopened at 8:16 p.m. on Wednesday, just less than one hour after the fire was reported.
