More information has come to light regarding the recent homicide in Hamilton.

Shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, officers responded to a disturbance at 3063 Binbrook Road and located a 20 year old Hamilton man suffering from stabbing injuries.

The victim, identified as Binbrook resident Brock Beck, was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

“A 16 year old youth was also injured in the attack, but was treated at hospital and quickly released,” police reported.

Police believe the suspects pulled up behind Beck’s vehicle just prior to 2:00 a.m. and confronted Beck and his friend in the driveway of the residence, which resulted in the stabbing.

The motive for the attack and suspect descriptions are currently unknown.

Police are asking residents and businesses to check their surveillance cameras between the hour of 1:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. for any vehicles travelling on Binbrook Road. 

Beck’s vehicle is described as a 2011 grey Ford Fusion.

This is the 10th homicide of the year in Hamilton.
