UPDATE: Power outage hits Hamilton’s east end

Over 1,000 Hamilton homes and businesses were without power for a few hours on Monday night, in the midst of a spring heat wave.
Alectra Utilities said the outage is expected to last until 10:30 p.m.. However, by 8 p.m., it was apparently resolved, the utility said.

The affected area stretches from Barton Street East to King St. E. and Kenilworth Avenue North to Parkdale Avenue North. Anyone still experiencing issues may call 1-800-ALECTRA (1-800-253-2872).
