UPDATE: Police search for 89-year-old woman missing in Mississauga

UPDATE 6:30 p.m.: Sachi Shimo-Takahara has been found in good health.

Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 89-year-old woman in Mississauga.

Sachi Shimo-Takahara is described as an elderly Asian woman, 5 ft tall, 125 pounds with short grey hair.

She is believed to be wearing a red sweater and blue jeans and she is using a walker.

Shimo-Takahara was last seen this morning at 10:40 a.m. heading eastbound on Lakeshore Rd. near Mississauga Rd.

Shimo-Takahara’s family members as well as police are concerned for her wellbeing.
