Update: Oshawa motorcyclist, 68, killed after T-Bone collision with Chevrolet Trax

A 68-year-old Oshawa man was killed after his motorcycle was involved in a T-bone collision in Oshawa.
Central West Division officers were dispatched to a motor-vehicle collision Monday afternoon involving a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle and a white 2021 Chevrolet Trax on Simcoe Street near Niagara Drive, just south of Durham College.
The Yamaha was reportedly northbound on Simcoe Street North about 1:30 p.m. when it collided with the westbound Chevrolet, which had entered the roadway from a private drive. The rider of the Yamaha sustained extensive injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured and remained at the scene.
Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to gather evidence. The area of the roadway was closed for about four hours for the investigation.
