Update: Missing Oakville man last seen near QEW on Wednesday

A 29-year-old Oakville man was located Friday after being missing for two full days.

Halton Regional Police said at 8:10 p.m. that Kyle Skanes has been found. Skanes was reported missing on Thursday, and had last been seen the day prior (Dec. 7) in the area of Trafalgar Road and the Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville.

“Police are thankful for the media interest in this matter and the support and engagement of various members within the community,” HRP stated.

When a person is reported missing in Halton, members of the public can contact police through 9-1-1 or via the HRPS non-emergency line (905-825-4777).

Tips may also be submitted anonymously to Halton Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477, or haltoncrimestoppers.ca).

The Halton police are also reminding the public that there is no 24-hour waiting period before a person can be reported missing. A resident who is concerned for someone’s immediate safety should call 9-1-1. A missing person report can be made by calling the aforementioned HRPS non-emergency number.
