UPDATE: Man Dead After Shooting in Mississauga

A fatality has been reported following a shooting in Mississauga this morning.

Police got a call for the incident, which happened in the area of Dundas Street East and Cawthra Road, at 11:18 a.m.

Paramedics transported one victim, a 32 year old male, to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

At 1:47 p.m., police reported that the male succumbed to his injuries.

One suspect was seen fleeing east on Dundas Street, police say.

There is currently no suspect description.

This is the fourth homicide of the year in Peel.

The Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau is investigating.

Hold and secures have been lifted for two daycares in the area (Mini Skool and Maya Bee).

Rymal Road westbound from Tomken remains closed at this time.

All other road closures have ended.
