Residents of an upscale Mississauga neighbourhood are preparing to return to their homes this morning after a gas leak forced their evacuation yesterday.

Enbridge Gas indicates workers are still on the scene at Blythe Rd. and Glatts Ln. near Mississauga Rd. after construction crews busted through a main gas line just after noon on Monday.

The leak forced the evacuation of 27 homes in the area and some of them may still be without gas for several more hours.

Meanwhile Alectra reports power has been restored to the same area.
