A collision in Oakville has left two elderly women in a serious condition.

According to police, yesterday (May 8) at around 7:58 p.m., Halton Police were dispatched to Valleyridge Drive south of Dundas Street in regards to a motor vehicle collision.
Emergency services attended the scene and found two females who were suffering with head injuries.
Police say the females required immediate care.
According to police, an 84-year-old Burlington resident was taken to a local hospital in series condition. A 92-year-old Oakville resident was taken to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit went to the scene and took over the investigation.
According to police, it is believed that the vehicle involved in the collision became stuck on the curb. And, as the driver tried to reverse, she fell out of the open driver’s door and a pedestrian was struck as the vehicle was moving.
