UPDATE: Hold and secure was lifted just before 11:00 a.m. Halton Police said the incident was targeted and there is “no known related threat to public safety”.

UPDATE: Hold and secure was lifted just before 11:00 a.m. Halton Police said the incident was targeted and there is “no known related threat to public safety”.

Halton Regional Police took to Twitter Wednesday morning (June 17) to tell individuals in the New St and Walkers Line area to “shelter in place” after a morning shooting at around 9 a.m. on Woodview Rd.

Police said two possible suspects fled on foot and one 23-year-old victim was rushed to hospital.
