UPDATE: Brampton intersection reopens after midday 2-car crash

A Brampton intersection was closed for around nine hours after a two-car collision that resulted in a woman being rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

At 9:40 p.m. Friday, Peel Regional Police said that the intersection at Hwy. 50 and Castlemore Rd. was clear.

Shortly before 1 in the afternoon, police had informed the public of the collision and the injuries to an adult female. Motorists were asked to take alternative routes.
