UPDATE: 5,700 Hamilton homes, businesses affected by power outage as storm hits

Thousands of homes in the Dundas area of Hamilton were without power on Tuesday night due to an outage related to a storm moving across Southern Ontario.

Alectra Utilities said that 5,693 homes and businesses in the Dundas area are affected by the outage. Initially, the expected time of resumption (ETR) was 9 p.m., but Alectra stated that all power was restored by 7:34 p.m. on Tuesday.

The affected area started at Olympic Drive / York Road and along Regional Road 8, and stretched west and north to Sydenham Street and Harvest Road.
