More than 2,000 customers lose power in Whitby

A power outage struck Whitby along Rossland Road, between roughly Anderson Street and Otter Creek.
The outage began around noon today, affecting 2,142 residents, according to Elexicon Energy.
The cause of the disruption has been attributed to a malfunctioning underground cable. Repair crews completed work around 3:30 pm fully restoring power.
