Airport travellers and commuters across the GTA will need to plan ahead this weekend, as UP Express train service is being temporarily suspended due to construction.
From Saturday, April 18, to Sunday, April 19, trains will not be running. GO buses will replace service while work is completed to support the future Woodbine GO station.
Trains replaced by buses between Pearson and Hwy. 407
Direct GO bus service will operate between Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal 1 and the Highway 407 Bus Terminal throughout the weekend.
No service at Bloor, Mount Dennis and Weston
There will be no UP Express service, and no replacement bus stops at Bloor, Mount Dennis or Weston stations. Riders who typically use those stops will need to find alternate transit options.
Don’t buy UP Express tickets
Passengers are advised not to purchase UP Express tickets during the disruption period, as trains will not operate.
The temporary shutdown is part of ongoing transit expansion work in the region. Travellers, especially those heading to the airport, are encouraged to allow extra time, as bus replacements may result in longer travel times.
