Unprovoked assault at busy Toronto mall has police searching for suspect

Police say they’re trying to identify a suspect after an unprovoked assault at a busy mall in Toronto.

Toronto police said that on Saturday, June 13 at around 11:45 a.m., officers responded to a call for an assault inside the Eaton Centre.

Police said it was reported that “the suspect assaulted a female victim without provocation and left the area.”

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, officers said.

The suspect was described as having short hair and a heavy build.

Police also released images.
