Got some extra garbage that you need to get rid of?
Starting after Labour Day (September 5), the Region of Peel is offering a waste exemption period for citizens on their regularly scheduled garbage collection day.
From September 6 to 16, residents who receive curbside collection may place unlimited amounts of (acceptable) excess garbage at the curb without garbage bag tags.
Peel is reminding residents that there must be one metre of space between their excess bags of garbage and their garbage and organics carts.
For more information or to check your collection calendar, visit peelregion.ca/waste.
