Support staff at Trent University strike deal on new contract

Trent University support staff in Peterborough and Oshawa will be heading back to work with a new contract after negotiating teams for the school and Ontario Public Service Employees Union Local 365 reached a tentative settlement on a new collective agreement.

The deal still has to be ratified by both the employees and by Trent’s Board of Governors.

Details of the tentative agreement will be released through joint communiques after ratification.

OPSEU represents more than 520 support staff employees at Trent University’s Symon’s campus in Peterborough and the Durham GTA campus in Oshawa.
