Unique pizza pop-up returns to Hamilton at a new location

This Hamilton pop-up is bringing a ‘healthy twist’ to traditional pizza.

Back for the second time, Sourdough Pizza Co., has opened its pop up store at 566 Concession Street.

What sets these pizzas apart is the sourdough crust, crafted using an ancient fermentation technique. The process not only imparts a tangy flavor but also creates an airy texture.

“With the extended fermentation time, the dough develops complex flavors that add depth and richness to every bite. Moreover, the sourdough crust’s digestibility makes it a perfect choice for those seeking a gluten free pizza options,” the pizza company’s website stated.

Pizza enthusiasts will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of eight pizzas, all prepared with the special sourdough crust.

According to the food joint’s social media website, some of the crowd favourites are ‘Mush Love’ and ‘Pesto Sausage.’

For those craving a vegetarian pizza, the ‘Veggie’ comes with a sourdough crust, mozzarella, house Detroit sauce, caramelized onions, roasted jalapenos, green pepper, garlic thyme roasted mushrooms, and Parmesan.

Sourdough Pizza Co., has collaborated with Crumbuns Bakeshop for this year’s pop up and Hamiltonians can order online from Thursday to Sunday every week.
