Ultrasound technician charged with sexual assault in Oshawa

A Thornhill ultrasound technician has been charged with sexual assault involving one of his patients in Oshawa.
The Central East Criminal Investigations Bureau of Durham Police launched an investigation in May 2022 after a female patient of an ultrasound and x-ray clinic in Oshawa reported a sexual assault. The suspect, an ultrasound and x-ray technician, had touched the victim in an inappropriate sexual manner during a medical procedure.
Investigators subsequently arrested and charged Igor Ivanov, 58, with sexual assault.
He was released on an Undertaking.
Investigators want to ensure there are no further victims. The accused has worked at numerous clinics throughout the GTA.
