Uber driver charged in sexual assault at Ontario GO station

A Toronto Uber driver has been charged after a sexual assault investigation in Burlington.

A woman reported that she was sexually assaulted in the south parking lot of the Burlington GO Station located at 2101 Fairview St. around 5:15 p.m. on June 16, Halton Regional Police said.

The assault happened after a conversation with a man, police said.

Police said the woman immediately left the parking lot; however, the man followed her to a business a short distance away. Here, the man approached and sexually assaulted the woman again, police added.

The woman did not suffer any physical injuries, police said.

On July 26, Mandeep Singh, 25, of Etobicoke, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault.

Halton Regional Police released a photo of Mandeep Singh, 25, of Etobicoke, as they believe there could be more victims.

Singh was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

At the time of the assault, Singh was employed as an Uber driver, and investigators are concerned there may be additional victims.
