A storm in the U.S. has led to some flight cancellations out of Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
Currently, about 4.25 per cent of flights are cancelled today (June 27), Pearson Airport said in a post on X.
Some flights are cancelled due to a storm on the U.S. eastern seaboard, Pearson said.
Showers and thunderstorms swept across much of the eastern U.S. as a cold front passed through the region, weather forecasters noted. The storms were severe in some areas.
There are also flights cancelled today and tomorrow due to a WestJet strike.
Pearson is expecting over 1,020 flights to arrive or depart today.
As always, it is a good idea to check the status of your flight here.
