Two watermain breaks causing traffic delays in Hamilton

Hamilton Water is responding to two separate watermain breaks in the city this morning (Jan. 30).

The first break was reported near 1747 Barton St E, with lane restrictions on Barton St E from Parkdale Ave N to Tolten Ave during the repair.

About 40 minutes later, a second was reported near 139 King St E. There are lane restrictions on King St E from Walnut St N to Catherine St N.

Repair work on both watermains is expected to wrap up by 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.

Motorists may want to avoid the areas.
