Two trucks yanked off road in commercial safety blitz in Scugog

A commercial motor vehicle blitz in Scugog Township Tuesday resulted in two trucks taken off the road for safety issues and five charges laid.
Durham Police Traffic Service’s Bravo Team partnered up with the Ontario Ministry of Transport, DRPS North Division and Scugog officials to perform 18 inspections on the day.
Police also laid nine moving violation infractions, including one driver clocked at 119 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone on Scugog Line 6. The driver was discovered to be unlicensed and charged accordingly.
