A lucky Hamilton resident won the lottery not once but twice.

Hamilton resident Patricia Sinclair just picked up a $75,000 win, the top prize with the Instant Emoji$ scratch and win ticket, according to a press release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

This is the second win for Sinclair.

“I also won $50,000 in 2014 on another INSTANT ticket,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Sinclair is retired from the customer service industry and has been playing the lottery regularly with OLG for 30 years.

When she started scratching the Instant Emoji$ ticket, she noticed she was matching all the symbols. She asked her husband to take a look.

“I needed a second set of eyes. He said it looked like a winner, but he was in disbelief too!” she said.

But it turned out to be a winner.

“I feel so grateful,” Sinclair said. “I had butterflies in my stomach and a peaceful feeling wash over me.”

She plans to pay some bills and put some of her winnings aside for the future.

“I’d also love to plan a family trip and take my mom and husband to Scotland and Greece.”

An Instant Emoji$ ticket is $3 and the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.72.

Sinclair bought her ticket at the Circle K on Mohawk Road West in Hamilton.
