Two Suspects Sought in Shooting at Brampton Bar

Police are searching for two male suspects in regards to a shooting that happened in Brampton.

Police are searching for two male suspects in regards to a shooting that happened in Brampton.

The incident occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22 at a bar located on 51 McMurchy Avenue South.

Police say the victim and three suspects were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to violence, leading to the victim being shot in the stomach.

The victim was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.

The following day, police arrested Justin Melo, who is facing ten separate charges including attempted murder and discharging a firearm.

Police seek the public’s help in locating the other two suspects, both identified as Brampton men who are believed to be actively evading police.

Brandon Rego, 24, is wanted for eleven charges including attempted murder. He is described as a white male with a slim build, 5’7, 140 lbs, with brown hair, green eyes, and a beard and mustache.

Bruno Torres-Sodoma, 33, is wanted for attempted murder and aggravated assault. He is a white male with a heavy build, 5’9, 190 lbs, with black hair, a black goatee, and a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Both men are believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, residents should not approach and should call 911 or report any information at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233.
