Two suspects facing firearm and drug trafficking charges in Oshawa

Two suspects are facing several charges after police responded to a tip about a man allegedly trafficking cocaine from a home in Oshawa. A search warrant was conducted by investigators at the residence, where drugs and a gun were seized.
On Thursday (June. 1) Durham Regional Police (DRPS) were made aware of a potential drug trafficking situation and responded to a residence near Highland Ave in Oshawa with a search warrant.
Police say a firearm and drugs were recovered following the investigation and a man and woman have been taken into custody where they both are facing multiple charges.
James Godrey, 30, of no fixed address, is facing a total of nine charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and the unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm.
Cassandra Perilli, 32 of Oshawa is facing a total of eight charges including possession of a firearm with an altered serial number and possession for the purpose of trafficking in fentanyl.
Officers say both parties were held for a bail hearing.
