Two St. Catharines men charged after police found $45,000 in drugs

After public complaints about possible drug deals at a home on Tasker St in St. Catharines, Niagara Police started to investigate the activities surrounding the house.

On June 1, police used a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at the home and found Cocaine (13.8 grams), Fentanyl pills (1,123) and $2,000 in suspected crime cash. The drugs have a combined estimated street value of $45,880.

As a result of the investigation, two adult males were charged.

Timothy Brian Nicholls, 39, of St. Catharines has been charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of crime cash under $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.

Lance Edward Evans, 56, of St. Catharines has been charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of crime cash under $5,000.

Both were held in custody and attended a video bail hearing on June 2 at the St. Catharines courthouse.
