Two St Catharines men arrested for drug charges

Two Catharines men are up on numerous drugs charges after a two month investigation by Niagara Police saw their arrests yesterday (August 5).

Suspecting the sale of illegal drugs in the Western Hill area of St. Catharines since June, detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Rykert Street near Edith Street.

The two suspects and five other people were arrested in the house. The five other people were later released without charge.

Detectives seized suspected fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, lidocaine and hydromorphone pills with an estimated street value of $5,640.

Police also seized eight bikes believed to be stolen in addition to power tools and silverware.

The search of the house also turned up prohibited weapons (a brass knuckle knife, a claw knife, and three spring loaded knives).

Jason Noseworthy, 36, and Nathan Alligood, 47, both of St. Catharines were charged with three separate drug counts, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of prohibited weapons.
