Two pharmacy robberies under investigation in Oakville

Halton police are investigating two pharmacy robberies that recently occurred in Oakville.

Constable Ryan Anderson, Media Relations Officer for Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), told insauga.com that the robberies occurred at two Pharmasave locations in Oakville in the same week.

Anderson said the first robbery occurred on Jan. 6 at the Pharmasave located at 479 Dundas St. West at approximately 11:30 a.m.

According to Anderson, two male suspects entered the pharmacy and demanded money and narcotics. No weapons were seen or referenced and no physical injuries were reported to the police.

The first suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build, approximately 6’1, in his early 20s, who was wearing dark clothing.

The second suspect is described as a Black male with a thin build, approximately six feet, in his early 20s, who was wearing a blue surgical mask and dark clothing.

Anderson said the second robbery occurred on Jan. 9 at the Pharmasave located at 225 Speers Rd. at approximately 1:15 p.m.

According to Anderson, two suspects entered and stole narcotics from the safe and an undisclosed amount of cash. Anderson said while no weapons were seen, a staff member was pushed to the ground. No injuries were reported.

The first suspect is described as a Black male in his early 20s, while the second suspect is described as a Black male between the ages of 18 and early 20s.

According to Anderson, the suspects fled in a dark sedan.

The two robberies are currently under investigation.
