Two people walked out of Burlington shoe store with stolen merchandise

Halton police are looking for a couple that stole two pairs of shoes from a Burlington store.

On May 15, two suspects entered Emille Shoes, located at 2394 Fairview St. The suspects selected two pair of shoes, worth about $100 each, and hid them in the female suspect’s large dress. The suspects then walked out without making any attempt to pay for the concealed shoes.

The suspects left the area in what appears to be a Toyota Apex Corolla, grey in colour, with black tape covering the rear licence plate.

The female suspect appears in her 40s, approximately 5-foot-5, 230 lbs., large build, brown eyes, black hair in a bun, long billowing light blue dress, carrying large black purse, light coloured sandals with a thick sole.

The male suspect appears in his 40s, approximately 5’7″, 250lbs, large build, brown eyes, black hair medium length and slicked back, wearing a dark blue t-shirt with a picture on left chest, black fanny pack slung across chest, blue jeans, dark coloured shoes.
