Two people seriously hurt after car trapped under truck in Mississauga

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a tractor trailer and became trapped under the large truck early this morning (Oct. 20) in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police say a man and woman had to be extricated from the car shortly after the two-vehicle collision, which happened just after 6:30 a.m. at Matheson Blvd. E. and Creekbank Dr.

Police say the two occupants of the car were rushed to hospital with serious injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

Matheson Blvd. remains closed to east of Creekbank Dr. for the police investigation. Police say they expect the area to reopen to traffic before noon.
