Two Owen Sound men arrested in Oshawa in stolen car

Durham police arrested two men in a stolen car in Oshawa in the early morning hours of October 7.

Officers spotted the car around one a.m. in a Wal-Mart parking lot near Highway 401 and discovered it had been reported stolen from Owen Sound.

The driver and passenger, both from Owen Sound, were arrested without incident. A black BB gun was found in the vehicle.

D’Angelo McWatch, 24, has been charged with possessing stolen property over $5,000, four counts of failure to comply with a probation order and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Travis Sloan, 27, faced charges for possession of stolen property, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

They have been held until a bail hearing.
