Two Oshawa condos make Zoocasa list for most inexpensive homes sold in March

The spring market is already starting to heat up with sales of every property type on the rise in the GTA last month.

Real estate company Zoocasa believes buyer demand will likely continue to grow in April as March homebuyers had their eyes on luxury listings and cozy condos alike, snatching up a good variety of property types.

At the top of the list last month was a five-bedroom, seven-bathroom old Toronto “contemporary masterpiece” on Forest Heights Blvd that sold for a whopping $8 million on March 5. The luxury homes comes with an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and 12,000 sq. ft of living space.

Two other Toronto homes and houses in Mississauga and King Township round out the top five while an Oshawa student condo apartment was number one for the least expensive home sold in March, with the condo at 1800 Simcoe St. N selling for just $290,000.

Numbers two, three and five on the list were found in Toronto and included a two-bedroom apartment on Jane Street in North York ($300,000), a bachelor unit on Homewood Avenue ($349,000) and a Keele Street condo near Downsview park that sold for $399,000.

At number four was a one-bedroom apartment at 55 William St. E. in downtown Oshawa that features “tons of natural light, wall-to-wall windows and two balconies” and also boasts an updated kitchen and ensuite laundry.

The condo sold for $360,000 on March 13.
