Two Oakville restaurants on top list of best places to take a date in Canada

When the moon hits the stars, two of the best places to take your date for a dining experience are right here in Oakville.
Restaurant booking and review site OpenTable.ca and dating app Bumble teamed up recently to release the “100 Best Restaurants for a Date in Canada” and making the list was Oakville’s Chop Steakhouse and Bar and Cucci Ristorante.
The list was created from over one million verified OpenTable diner reviews collected between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022.
Planning a date night has grown increasingly more difficult, not to mention throwing in a pandemic that kept everyone in their homes.
In a recent survey of Ontario residents conducted by OpenTable and YouGov, 76 per cent of respondents said they felt their social circles have shrunk, while 50 per cent are interested in seeking new friend connections.
As well, 27 per cent were interested in seeking a new romantic partner.

The OpenTable survey looks to make things just a little less stressful.
“You’re finally taking the next step: meeting in real life. That’s stressful enough, so don’t sweat the restaurant choice,” OpenTable said on its website. “Find everything from grand special occasion spaces to cozy neighborhood restaurants on this list of spots that diners always rate highly for date night.”
The Chop Steakhouse and Bar, located at 3451 South Service Rd. W., rated 4 1/2 stars out of five among OpenTable reviewers.
“I have dined in a number of the chop steakhouse is in the Toronto area and by far the CHOP restaurant in Oakville is the best one that I have dined at,” said one customer.
Cucci Ristorante, located on Jones St., also averages 4 1/2 stars out of five by customers.
“We walked into the restaurant and were welcomed by a live pianist. Nice touch,” said Scott B.
