Two Niagara Falls men have been busted for LCBO thefts after one of them threatened store security with a knife.

Niagara Police were called to the store at 5389 Ferry Street on December 11 around 5:45 pm after receiving a disturbance call.

It turned out that the two men had been confronted by store security. The older of the two quickly returned the stolen good. However, the younger man refused and got into a tussle with the security guard. At some point, the suspect pulled out a knife.

The security guard not only managed to elude him without injury but also retrieved the stolen booze before the men rabbited.

Today (December 15), Niagara Police were able to identify the suspects and arrest them. However, once again, the younger one went for a knife. The police had him in cuffs before he could get it so no injuries.

Anthony Pembleton, 21, of Niagara Falls was charged with robbery, resisting arrest and failing to comply with probation. He was held pending a bail hearing today.
