One person is suspected to be behind two possible hate crimes involving two Pride flags at a residence in east Hamilton.

Police did not have a description of the suspect.

Early in the morning of June 12, the suspect walked up to a driveway at a home in the area of Edgemont Street North, removing and damaging a Pride flag from the victim’s vehicle, according to Hamilton police in a press release.

Police believe the same person returned early on Sunday (June 18) to the residence and broke a front window with a Pride flag.

Police are investigating them as “hate-motivated incidents.”
